The Palestinians have tried protesting via civil disobedience several times. It just ends with them getting shot at by snipers in their knees.

The Palestinians have never been allowed to have a peaceful resistance movement. Israel forced them to resort to military resistance by propping up Hamas.

There repeated and regular attempts in the UN to pass a peaceful resolutions and/or ceasefires. Who blocks these resolution every single time? The US, Israel and their allies.

On top of all of that, Israel has been killing Palestinians kids since wayyy before Hamas even existed.

Absolute nonsense. Israel definitely propped up Hamas. There are recordings of Netanyahu admitting to it.

Yea Israel “left” the Gaza Strip to focus more on increasing attacks and violence in the west back. No one mentions the fact that after “leaving” they put an absolute blockade and siege on Gaza.

What you’re calling intifada bullshit is literally easily googlable facts. It is literally unanimous that Israeli snipers shot at innocent men, women and children during the Great March of Return.

You applaud the fact that Israel and the US veto every single peace resolution yet you accuse the Palestinians of rejecting peace. The irony!

You lot’s bullshit has been exposed. The world has woken up to the crimes of the Zionist scum and their supporters.

"Israel never propped up hamas"

And that my brother in Christ, is a masterclass in gaslighting, otherwise just a normal thought process/alternate reality of an average Zionist.

Why try and lie to people that know the truth. Go lie to someone that doesn’t already know you’re a blatant liar and a genocidal POS. Such a waste of time.

At least, ‘Fool’s Errand’, you’re true to your name (although ‘Wilful Delusion’ would be more appropriate) -

‘Netanyahu's funding for Hamas via Qatar enabled October 7’

Top 5 Ways Israeli PM Netanyahu kept Hamas in Power

And while Israel did physically withdraw its settlements and military forces from Gaza in 2005, in collusion with Egypt (after Israel, the 2nd largest beneficiary of U.S. military aid), it also imposed a land, sea, and air blockade. The sentries of a jailhouse withdrawing to the perimeter doesn’t mean the prisoners are liberated, especially when they’re routinely attacked and slaughtered by their jailers:

‘Top 10 Things Israel did to Gaza before October 7, 2023’

https://www.juancole.com/2024/10/things-israel-october.html

As for your other unsubstantiated claims, of course you “don’t remember” any Israelis advocating for the mass killing of Palestinians - amnesia is essential for genocide denial. Best look away now then (again) -

Nissim Vaturi, Deputy Speaker of Israeli parliament:

"Gaza must be burned .. We need to eliminate them. I have no mercy for those who are still there" -

Galit Distel Atbaryan, Israeli Diplomacy minister:

“Erase all of Gaza from the face of the Earth .. Or let them die. Gaza needs to be wiped out" ..as a "moral" necessity.

Amihai Eliyahu, Israeli Heritage Minister, suggested “flattening Gaza” with atomic bombs -

As did Revital Gotliv, Israeli MP, who called for using a “doomsday weapon” - “It’s time to kiss doomsday .. crushing and flattening Gaza” -

Ayelet Shaked, Israeli Justice Minister: “They have to die and their houses should be demolished” -

Given the above (and that’s just the tip of a mountain of genocidal hate) it’s no surprise that the words of Israel’s 19th century founder (not coincidentally, an Austrian-Hungarian atheist & supporter of German nationalism) sound so familiar:

‘Israeli students presented with a quote from Herzl and asked who they thought wrote it. Every one of them says Hitler’ -

Nice work Zei! It was rather enjoyable watching Brzeziński school the NBC commentator who had his head so far up the Political Zionists asses that his brain was oxygen deprived. I remember being shocked by his interview with Tareq Baconi because he had to admit in his prologue that there were things he learned in that interview. Isn’t he supposed to be a journalist? How could he not know these things? And he perfectly embodies the people who lead American mainstream media, wholly ignorant of context and facts.

The Hind Rajab Foundation is launching urgent legal actions to block Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s planned visit to Hungary. Netanyahu is currently wanted by the International Criminal Court for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. HRF will petition the ICC, call on the Hungarian Public Prosecutor to arrest him, and notify European airspace authorities to deny him passage. Legal teams across Europe are also preparing to activate universal jurisdiction if he travels beyond Hungary. HRF urges all European states to uphold international law and refuse safe haven to suspected war criminals.

DAWN has urged the ICC prosecutor to investigate and prosecute former President Biden, State Secretary Blinken and Defense Secretary Austin for their personal roles in aiding and abetting Israeli war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide in Gaza as part of his ongoing investigation into the situations in Palestine since 2014.

Let’s give them our support. Maybe they will expand their complaint to include this latest US administration, and include all the leaders of the western nations supporting this genocide.

In early days I spent so long trying to understand this other perspective, and of course he comes off as so well-meaning. I finally stopped listening to anything he says when he justified the Nakba. He had this kind of “well what are you gonna do” attitude. Others don’t deserve justice like he does. Anything done to others is justifiable, but wouldn’t be to him. That’s his worldview. It might be wrapped in a mild mannered bow, but he is all about pure supremacy.

I really haven’t liked Klein for a long time , mostly having to do with his unending criticisms of Democrats which I find unproductive . I did not know this about him - so thanks - it fits with his character . I have commented on some other posts and admittedly do not have the depth /breadth of expertise that others do. I agree with what you have written here.

I am an American who protested Desert Storm back in the day, and the military invasions in both Iraq and Afghanistan even taking into account the American loss of life on 9/11. Yes, our losses were significant that day , inexcusable , unforgivable . But the deaths and casualties paid for those 2977 deaths that day have not brought those people back.

At what point do retaliatory actions become so far beyond what most humans on earth find to be an acceptable response and instead turn into actions designed to completely annihilate ? The US was bombed at Pearl Harbor - eventually we dropped 2 bombs on Japan … but the US did not need to stop there. Even the lives lost on those occasions have been deemed unacceptable . If the US behaved then as Israel now does , we would not have stopped until every city , town , and village were razed and every Japanese man, woman, and child burned to ash. Even back then , even with that power, people said “no.”

It seems some people of very different backgrounds understood the assignment when we were taught “never again” and some like Klein thought it only applied when it was their people being exterminated.

The “genocidal” tendencies were introduced to the body politic by the US as early as 1862, but it took Sherman and Grant to bring it to its full potential in 1863 and through the campaigns against the Sioux. GOP publicist Victor Davis Hanson, said by some to be a historian, praises this as the American way of war.

To each his own but I don’t think the US should have been involved in a single war of the 20thC. I am not a D or and R, despising both equally, but I do think there is a valid argument that Kennedy genuinely wanted to stop the empire shit. So they killed him. Then they killed Bobby (and maybe Thomas Merton, too). The USA is unfixable.

Earlier than 1862, correct ? Hmmm WW1 maybe WW2, we were attacked . Korea forward shouldn’t have been involved .

There are other countries in far worse shape than US as unfixable goes. It’s in the condition of the human . Even chimpanzees engage in war. Trying to get past these innate instinctual behaviors but that’s difficult if not impossible . There are no countries which are great , perfect, etc. we are all of us living with generational trauma , and the traumas we have personally incurred. we’re like every other species on the planet , just smarter , more complicated.

We have made progress - some more than others. This DJT episode will be behind us soon enough - will we have learned anything ? Only time will tell.

Are Coates and Klein the best the Ds can do? They’re pulling ahead of the GOP in the Stupid Party relay. Still wrestling with painful memories of Klein and his bullshit from the Obamacare thing. My boss at the time thought it a good idea to summarize Klein’s views for the other guys on the desk (his daughter, a sophomore at Tufts or one of those fucking places, thought Klein was awesome). I did it for a week, got sick of the leaden prose and so made the intern do it. He was from Yale so deserved the misery. But he too liked Klein. Thank God we didn’t hire that idiot.
