Periodically the question of whether “gusano”, Spanish for “worm”, is a slur or not is raised pretty much solely because a particular streamer has disingenuously convinced their cult following to repeat that as a way of smearing people on the left they don’t like. They’ve admitted they do this kind of thing intentionally, and the less naïve of the cultists know it as well. The aim is to successfully create suspicions of racism around figures they don’t like. It’s childish, it’s asinine, and to be expected from this crowd.
I have recently began reading a smidge of history regarding Cuba. So far, seems like the Castro regime/administration wasn't super great for the common peeps. I'll keep an open mind as I continue to explore the topic. Was it really all bc CIA=bad? Iono but nice effort-post, its cool to read your perspective. Take care:)
Hey there’s a ton of issues with this article that make it unreadable to anyone who isn’t already 100% agreeing with you. You already have a twitter following for that so you shouldn't need to have just another worse version of that with less community outreach.
If you’re trying to grow this platform here’s some critique:
"Periodically the question of whether “gusano”, Spanish for “worm”, is a slur or not is raised pretty much solely because a particular streamer has disingenuously convinced their cult following to repeat that as a way of smearing people on the left they don’t like."
1. Just say Destiny, you tweet about him constantly anyway
2. Cite what you're claiming
3. It's not "disingenous" or "smearing" if he actually thinks its a slur and wants people to stop using it.
"They’ve admitted they do this kind of thing intentionally"
"The aim is to successfully create suspicions of racism around figures they don’t like"
1. This is an extreme claim and would require extreme proof
Its much more likely without any sort of proof that this person just thinks Hasan or other prominant (usually leftist) people who use gusano at any cuban person they see who dislikes them is racist.
I didn't need to read the rest of the article but the meme at the bottom is weird because nobody has ever claimed its worse than the n word, and destiny specifically has said the opposite, so who is it for? It feels like you're being disingenuous.
Theres a lot of issues with this article just from the opening paragraph and the closing meme that make it difficult for people who don't already 100% agree with you to read. Just going over them now. Let me know if theres anything else I can do to help you.

I didn't need to read the rest of the article but the meme at the bottom is weird because nobody has ever claimed its worse than the n word, and destiny specifically certainly hasn't said that, so who is it for? It feels like you're being disingenuous.
